Spijker Malbec 2024
Bright blue-red colour. Upfront nose of blackberries, mulberries, creamy vanilla, cedar, plums and fynbos follows through to a palate packed with blueberries, cherries, plums, cedar, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves. The fruit is beautifully balanced with a savoury, meaty and wild herb note, bright acidity and crunchy but moderate tannins. Drinking very well now, but will benefit from 2-7 years maturation. Will pair well with barbeque, roasts, duck, venison, strong cheese and roasted vegetables.
